Multi-Panel Pullout Card with Woven Threads & Mosaic Mood DSP

Hello everyone! I’m jumping back into blogging after quite a break.  I’m going to try to blog whenever the Brewers have day games and it lines up with my daughters’ naps. 🙂

I have lots of new ideas to share with you since the recent release of the new 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  Check out these beautiful cards featuring the brand new Woven Threads Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP. I can’t get enough of this card design. I just saw it a few weeks ago on fellow SU! demo, LeeAnn Greff’s, blog.  Is it new to you as well? Leave me a comment on this post and let me know. I’m curious which of these 4 designs is your favorite as well.

You can find my YouTube video for this card at the end of this post.

The Woven Threads Designer Series Paper features all 5 of the new In Colors: Pretty Peacock, Terracotta Tile, Seaside Spray, Purple Posy, and Rococo Rose.  These In Colors will only be around for the next two years so you’ll want to snatch them up now to have the most time to create with them. I love that this catalog has a suite of products dedicated just to the new 2019-2021 In Colors. The Woven Threads DSP is part of that suite. Click here to check out that In Color Suite.

It doesn’t show up very well in the pictures but several of the Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP designs have clear embossing. The shine is so pretty! Like all of the 12 x 12 DSP packs, the Mosaic Mood Specialty pack comes with 12 sheets of paper, 2 each of 6 double-sided designs. One of each side has the shiny, clear embossing over the designs.

Fun Fold Cards, Stampin' Up!

Fun Fold Cards

Hello! A week or so ago I held my first Fun Folds class. It was a blast!   Scouring Pinterest for fun fold cards was amazingly educational – there are so many kinds! The four cards featured in this post are the ones we made for the class. The first three have clickable links to supply lists & instructions.

Double Gate Fold Card – I love the little bits of striped paper peeking out above & below the polka dots.  I used the Stampin’ Trimmer, Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper (DSP), Tangerine Tango and Whisper White Cardstock, Pool Party and Garden Green ink, “Layered Letters” and “I Think You’re Great” stamp sets, and the Deco Label framelits. I also added Rhinestone Basic Jewels on the inside of the card (not visible in picture).

Step/Easel Card – You can’t see in the picture, but there is a piece of cardstock attached to the back of the card & folded over to prop the card up. This is the easel part of the card. The stamp sets I used are “Papillon Potpourri” and “Happy Birthday Everyone“. Click the title of this card to see a complete list of supplies.

Peekaboo Circle Card – You could jazz this one up even more by adding a scallop circle behind the sentiment piece. I would have done that, but I didn’t have a scallop circle punch when I made this card. The supplies I used are Delightful Dijon, Bermuda Bay, & Very Vanilla Cardstock; Bermuda Bay & Blackberry Bliss inks; “Bohemian Borders” & “Best Thoughts” stamp sets; Bohemian DSP; and the 3/4″, 2″, & 2 1/2” Circle Punches. The circles are raised up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Off Center Slit Card –  I love the idea of contrasting 2 different designs of DSP on one project.  On this card I used Wisteria Wonder Cardstock (8 1/2 x 5 1/2). I scored it at 3″ & 7 1/4″. I used Typset Specialty DSP (5 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ for the larger & 5 1/4″ x 1″ for the smaller).  The sentiment is from the “Amazing Birthday” stamp set. It is stamped in Wisteria Wonder ink & punched out with the Decorative Label Punch. On the inside of the card I added a piece of 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock. I added a little bit of interest on the inside in the lower right corner by stamping the larger splattering of small dots from the “Gorgeous Grunge” stamp set.

Just like in my last post, 3-D Fun, all of these cards can easily be customized by switching out the cardstock and DSP.  The Simply Scored tool was also a necessity in creating these cards. All of them, except for the Step/Easel Card, fit in a regular A-2 size envelope. The Step/Easel card needs at least a 5 1/4″ square envelope.

Please leave me a comment and let me know which Fun Fold card was your favorite. Be sure to “like” this post if you thought it was inspirational. 🙂
