Just Because Cards, Stampin' Up!, Thank You Cards

“You’re So Sweet” Thank You

Hello everyone! The inspiration from today’s card comes from a really cute treat bag in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. I made a few changes turning it into a card and putting my own twist on it (different background stamping). Check out the original on p. 14 of the SAB Brochure.

You're So Sweet Angled

The set I used for this card is Honeycomb Happiness from p. 15 of the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.  This set (and all items in the SAB Brochure) is yours FREE with a $50 purchase.

I think this card makes a really cute thank you card. You could also send this as a “Just Because” card to a friend. I used the Triple Banner Punch for the Designer Series Paper and the retired Angled Tag Topper punch (still available in the Clearance Rack) for the Whisper White tag.

You're So Sweet Front

Here is slightly more of a closeup of this cute little ice cream cone. I fussy cut the scoop of ice cream out for a little more interest. I think the Whisper White Baker’s Twine bow is the perfect finishing touch for this thank you card.

You're So Sweet Close Up

Another way to add interest would be to use one of the new Honeycomb Embellishments from the new Occasions Catalog.

I hope you are inspired to make some cards with this cute Honeycomb Happiness set and/or the adorable Honeycomb Embellishments.

Congratulations Cards, Stampin' Up!

“The Sky is the Limit” Congratulations

Hello everyone! Today’s card comes to you from p. 16 of the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. Sale-A-Bration, Stampin’ Up!’s biggest sale of the year, lasts until March 31st. During Sale-A-Bration (SAB) you get to choose one product for free from the SAB Brochure for every $50 you purchase of product from the new Occasions Catalog or the Annual CatalogIMG_3716

I was looking for inspiration for a “Congratulations” card for a card class I am teaching later this month when I came across this adorable card. I knew I had found the card for my class. Below is the entire stamp set. This specific set is only available until February 15th, the midway point of SAB. Check out Pinterest for lots of awesome inspiration with this set.

I think my favorite part of this card is the linen thread bow stapled onto the sentiment banners with Stampin’ Up!’s handheld stapler. I think that takes the cuteness level up quite a few notches. 🙂 I popped the banners up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and colored in the little smoke heart with a Calypo Coral Stampin’ Write Marker.

The inside of the card is my own design. I lined the little clouds with the same Calypo Coral Stampin’ Write Marker from the smoke heart on the front of the card.

Congrats INside

I hope you enjoyed this highlight from the SAB Brochure and are inspired to do some stamping with the Sky is the Limit stamp set. Get it before it’s gone!

Joyful stamping!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to remind you that we are nearing the end of the first month of Sale-A-Bration. Sale-A-Bration ends March 31st.  Be sure to check out the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. It’s chock full of products that you can earn for FREE with a $50 purchase.  Some  Sale-A-Bration products are only available until February 15th.  The new Occasions Catalog is also brimming with new products that are available through May 31st.

If you have a lot on your wishlist, you might want to consider joining Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator.  I’d love to have you on my team!  Sale-A-Bration is the best time of year to join Stampin’ Up! During Sale-A-Bration, you can become a demonstrator for just $99. You automatically get to choose $125 worth of product and during Sale-A-Bration you get to choose an extra $30 more of FREE product for your Starter Kit. That’s a total of $155 of product for only $99. Plus, your starter kit ships for free! As a demonstrator you enjoy a 20% commission on all your purchases, all year round. Imagine how that discount would look applied to your wishlist. 🙂

Sympathy Angle

The card for today is a sympathy card. I chose to use the bright colors that coordinate with the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper Sale-A-Bration item to represent the hope that those who are grieving will be comforted.

Sympathy Front

The card base is the standard 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. The Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper is 4″ x 5 1/4″. The Whisper White piece is 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″.

Sympathy Close Up

It was fun planning the arrangement of flowers. I like how the Hello Honey 5/8″ Striped Cotton Ribbon pulls the card together.

I hoped you are inspired to create with the Flowing Fields stamp set or the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper. They go together and are both so pretty!

You’re Just the Sweetest

Hello everyone! Back in November, I attended OnStage Local in Milwaukee. This was the first year that Stampin’ Up! did not have its annual convention in Salt Lake City. Instead, they hosted the 3 day convention (OnStage) in Brussels, Belgium and organized lots of mini conferences (OnStage Local) across the U.S. The set below, Apple of my Eye, was one of the All Attendee Giveaways.

This set is not one I would have chosen on my own, simply because ideas didn’t jump to my mind when I saw it. I am really glad I won it because there are tons of ideas for projects on Pinterest and in the Occasions Catalog. I CASEd the card below from p. 47 of the catalog. IMG_3688

I changed up the DSP (Designer Series Paper) and had to use a retired tag topper punch (still available on the Clearance Rack for only $13.77) because I don’t have any of the three current tag topper punches (p. 165 of the Annual Catalog). I also added a row of Rhinestones because I had a little extra space to fill after stamping the cherries and the sentiment. I am really happy with how the CASE turned out.

IMG_3687

Here you can see that the little cherries are fussy cut and popped up with small bits of Stampin’ Dimensionals. I don’t think I would have thought to make cherries with this set if I hadn’t seen the example in the catalog. I also popped up both the DSP and the stamped tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

IMG_3685

I like to do some stamping on my envelopes, when I remember. This cute little cherry screamed “Stamp me on the envelope!” to me, so I obliged. 🙂

There are still 2 1/2 months left of Sale-A-Bration. For every $50 of product that you purchase, you are able to choose 1 product for FREE from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. If you would like to make a purchase and earn FREE product, you can do so in my online store.

I hope you are inspired by this CASE from p. 47 of the Occasions Catalog and have some fun with the Apple of my Eye stamp set too!

Joyful stamping!

A Watermelon “Just for You”

Hello everyone! I didn’t set out to make a Watermelon card, but that’s what this one reminds me of. 🙂 I really like this color combo.  The bold Watermelon Wonder ink really shines when paired with the neutrals of Basic Black and Whisper White.  I created the faux watercolor wash using a stamp from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set. I stamped it four times, reinking each time, overlapping the images just slightly.

Watermelon Side

This card also features the main image from the “Botanicals for You” Sale-A-Bration stamp set. I featured this same set on a previous post.  Because this set is a Sale-A-Bration stamp set, it can’t be purchased. You can, however, get it for FREE with a $50 order.

Check out the Sale-A-Bration Brochure for a bunch of other products you can earn for FREE with $50 orders (1 FREE item per $50 order). If you would like to place an order, and earn this or one of the other Sale-A-Bration sets for FREE, you can do so in my online store. Check out the awesome new products from the newly released Occasions Catalog to help you with your order.

Watermelon

I really like how this set has the one big sentiment for the front but then offers three different sentiments for inside. This really makes for a versatile set. I had a birthday card in mind with the sentiment below, but it could also work for a graduation or celebration of an accomplishment. The other two sentiments are “Because you’re so nice” & “Because you’re awesome.” These sentiments make me think of Thank You cards or Just Because cards.Watermelon Inside

Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of new products and forget about the really neat products that have been around for awhile. I wanted to highlight the Envelope Liners Framelits Dies today. I still love them, but don’t use them as much as I should. I chose a pattern that matched my card color wise, but added a little more interest to the card opening experience with the tight flower pattern. What do you think of the patterned paper/card combo? Leave me a comment below and let me know. 🙂

I pray you are inspired to play around with some bold colors (you’ll have fun!) and to give this Sale-A-Bration set a try!

“You Send Me Soaring” & Paper Pumpkin Sale

Hello everyone! Today I have a card for you using one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets that you can earn for FREE with a $50 purchase. This set is called “Sky is the Limit” and will be my go-to set for Masculine cards for the next few months of Sale-A-Bration.  Here are the links for PDFs of the Sale-A-Bration Brochure and the new 2016 Occasions Catalog.
Soaring Front

I knew I wanted to use Old Olive with this set, and when I started to think about what color to stamp the airplane in it hit me: make it gold! I really like how embossing it with gold embossing powder really makes the airplane the focal point of the card.

Soaring Close Up

I was pleasantly surprised at how cool the Old Olive cardstock looked with the Mint Macaron clouds. I think this card would have looked pretty cool with a Whisper White background, but I think the Very Vanilla really helps give this card the Old Timey look I was going for 🙂

Soaring Side
