Hello! One of my favorite things about papercrafting is learning and using new techniques. The emboss resist technique has two parts: embossing and applying color.
To emboss the image you first need to stamp it in Versamark Ink. Next, you apply the embossing powder (this card uses white powder). Lastly, you use the Heat Tool to apply heat until the powder melts together and becomes shiny.
The “resist” part of the emboss resist technique is usually done with watercoloring, sponging, or spritzing ink over the embossed image. If needed, you can swipe over the embossed image to remove any ink that may have lingered on top of the embossing.
In summary: you emboss a stamped image, you apply color, and the embossing resists the color that is applied to it. Both parts of this technique are fairly simple, but when combined the results are awesome!
